It is reported that a 27 years old boy had to cancel his first corona positive party due to the lack of alcohol. The boy was visibly upset as he was unable to celebrate this moment with his friends. Soon after the outbreak of COVID-19 first reported in the city, government announced a locked down for 21 days.
As a consequence of the same, no shops, including the alcohol shops were allowed to open. When interviewed, the boy supported the locked down and praised Government’s decision to keep the groceries open. However, he has decided to file a PIL, with a demand to include the wine shops amongst the ‘necessary’ shops. He has even thought to run an “empty wine glass” procession as a sign of protest.
